PROS

How to start doing keyword research with KWFinder

Let’s start at the beginning and see how you can do keyword research on the platform easily.

With the tool getting suggestions on almost all supported languages is pretty easy.

Let’s say you start with the keyword keyword research.

Once I enter the keyword the default options are anywhere and any language. This can help target local keywords. With this you have 3 options to start your research.

In the first option  you get search suggestions.

You can search by domain or search for particular terms.

  • These suggestions are common to all keyword research tools as you get suggestions around the main keyword.
  • The autocomplete feature provides phrases matching the seed keyword
  • The next feature is questions where you get suggestions around questions related to main keyword.

Here are all the tiny details around the keywords you searched for.

  • You start with basic suggestions around the keyword
  • You also see graphs around the fluctuating keyword volumes
  • You see average search volume in the past 12 months
  • You get the cost per click based on the Adwords score.
  • You get the ppc score based on a scale of 1 to 100.
  • You get the list of top pages that rank for the term
  • You get seo metrics like da, pa and moz trust.

Number of searches per month

It’s frustrating to key in a keyword on the Google keyword planner and get a range of search volumes. Between 1000 to 100,000. Can anyone plan ahead with a range of search volumes that really don’t go anywhere?

On KWfinder the story is different. You see the exact search volume for each keyword.

You see the exact search volumes letting you determine if the monthly searches are closer to 10k or closer to 100k.

So when creating content there’s no confusion left as to what kind of content you must create, the keywords to target and other things.

On the upper side of KWfinder there’s a graph that points to the month by month ebbs and flows of the keyword volumes.

Select a month to see the exact search volume. So if commissions are down in a month, you know know the reason why/

The bar graphs located right by the keyword tell you about their performance and you get a full view of monthly searches as a result. Click on any keyword suggestion. The bar graph updates with the month by monthly volumes for that keyword.

SEO Difficulty for Keywords

In addition to this, measure the difficulty associated with ranking for the said keywords. KEYword difficulty feature tells you how likely it is for you to rank for those keywords. The keyword difficulty is measured on a scale of 1 to 100. The higher the number the harder it is going to be to rank for that keyword.

In addition to get a quick understanding there’s a visual cue in terms of a color bar that goes from green to red showing increasing difficulty.

On the left panel you get all difficult scores. On the right you choose a keyword and get more metrics and data around the keyword.

Here’s what each score means

  • 0-9: easy to rank
  • 10-19: still easy
  • 20-29: still easy
  • 30-39: a bit difficult
  • 40-54: possible but will take time
  • 55-74: hard
  • 75-89: very hard
  • 90-100: you will need lot of work to rank for the keywords

The keyword difficulty comes by calculating the number of domains ranking on the first page and their metrics like DA and PA.

You get the score based on moz rank, mos trust factors and similar metrics.

The difficulty score isn’t just the only thing you need. Look at the search volumes as well. To make a difference you need keywords that have decent search volumes.

When you scroll down the list of keywords not all show the difficulty score. If you click on the unrevealed scores, it starts showing up.

The scores aren’t displayed all at once and probably because of the computing power required instead of just serving cached data.

But that said, there’s no reason for you to go to Keyword Planner which just shows the generic adwords competition score for keywords. This is by far no measure of the organic search engine difficulty of the keywords.

Use the SERP checker to understand competition

The SERP overview lists all the urls that rank for a particular term along with their DA and PA and CF and TF. This i updated by the hour.

The SERP checker feature enables a great view of the top pages on the SERPs competing for a keyword. The SERPchecker is at the bottom of the KWFinder.

If you want to analyze keyword suggestions further, SERPchecker is your best friend. With an average monthly search volume and difficulty score it’s easy to realize helps find out which keywords are doable.

  • Serpchecker gives you metrics for ranking urls like
  • Their Domain Authority (DA)
  • Page Authority (PA)
  • MozRank (MR)
  • MozTrust (MT)
  • The backlinks to the site
  • Their social media share counts and so on
  • Estimated monthly visits

When you scroll to the bottom, two more buttons await you the first is the analyze serp button that opens a new tab where you get trust flow and citation flow.

You can click on load more and get metrics on more similar pages.
