4. Social Network

All plans use the social network. THis sets the platform apart from similar platforms.

You can use the community for group learning and networking between students.

Learnworlds Starter Plan

The starter plan starts at $24 per month. The downside is that you’re charged $5 flat fee per sale on this plan. This adds up quickly as you sell a dozen or more courses. It’s cost-effective to get the next plan.

You get one admin account and one custom domain. You can add as many courses as you want.

One limitation of the Starter plan is in terms of the page builder. You’re only able to create a home page, course catalog, and after login page.

You can’t unlock the complete website builder with blog without upgrading to the next plan.

With the pro plan you don’t get complete access to all the third-party integrations support that’s possible with Learnworlds.

Basic integrations on the starter plan include an integration to Google analytics, to google tag manager, to fb pixel, to SumoMe, to Zendesk, Olark, Tawk.to, freshdesk and mailchimp to name a few.

Learnworlds Pro Trainer Plan

Learnworlds pro trainer plan is at $79 per month. However it removes any transaction fees on the course sales that might have been levied on the starter plan.

The higher month to month price pays for itself.

The pro trainer plan allows you to have around 5 admin accounts, so these people have access to the back-end and allow others to work on the courses as well.

With the pro plan you’re allowed to create an unlimited number of landing pages and you can host an unlimited number of courses, including free courses.

With the pro plan you can sell both subscriptions and memberships, You can charge for installments instead of merely one-time payments. The checkout page is fully customizable.

Premium integrations like Zapier, Referral Candy, Refersion, HubSpot, Intercom and Mxpanel are not available on this plan.

Another thing you get with the plan is you can create question banks for quizzes and for exams. You can also offer custom certificates to students completing the course.

For customer service on the pro plan you get 24/7 priority email support than what you’d get with the starter plan. You get onboarding call to help you get started as well.

Is the pro trainer plan the best thing you can get

On Learnworlds they state the most expensive plan is also the most popular one. The pro trainer plan might be one that gives the most value for money.

For online course creators and sellers, the Starter plan feels a bit too restrictive. The features like quizzes and affiliate management are somewhat essential to create a successful online course.

However you might not get the full features available on the learning center. The pro trainer plan is the sweet spot for most course creators.

Learnworlds Learning Center Plan

The plan takes things to next level and you can create an online school entirely on this. There’s higher price tag as well and costs $249 per month with this.

The learning center plan allows access to more number of admins and instructors. The total size swells to 20.

You get more affiliate marketing management features as well.

For integrations on the learning center you get full API support and webhooks integration to integrate whatever options you want.

Another feature that’s available on the learning center plan that should have been available with the pro trainer plan is white labelling features.

The $249/mo option is the only one that allows you to remove the Learnworlds branding from the online school you’re running.

The learning center pricing plan has interactive videos and you get full transcripts from videos at the single click of a button. Wonderful right?

You can add hotspots, questions, titles, images and other elements on the top of your video too.

This isn’t just the only way to boost engagement making videos more accessible.

You can save yourselves time for editing and post-prodcution work as well.

High volume and corporate plans

For sellers of online courses to big audiences and for corporate level clients, Learnworlds offers a different pricing. To get their specifics you need to get in touch with them as well as book a demo with them.

You get more features like bulk enrollments, branded academy and reports as well.

YOu also get premium support with a dedicated account manager. You get flexible invoicing as well.

Podia vs THinkific 2021 Comparison and Review

POdia and thinkific are both great online course platforms on which you can host online courses.

But when comparing Podia vs Thinkific you need to consider both tools and see which one is better. The article is going to simplify things for you.

Which do you think is better between podia vs Thinkific.

Thinkific has a number of features ranging from graded quizzes, to assignments to active communities. However some features are hidden behind higher priced plans. Podia offers a number of features in the simplest plan at affordable prices.

I am going to Compare Podia vs Thinkific to see their pricing models. Their features and other areas on which we can compare them. Based on what I find, I will recommend something.

Podia vs. Thinkific Compared

Of these two platforms, Thinkific is much better compared to podia and is well-known as well.

Just because Podia is better known and markets itself well, doesn’t mean that Thinkific is the better choice. Only at the end of this post are you going to know which is which.

Podia has helped scores of internet entrepreneurs both launch and run online courses.

Pricing and Features

Podia and Thinkific have comparable plans at similar prices. Podia’s offerings are more simplified with just 2 differing plans and Thinkific offers 4 plans in total.

Both brands offer you some discount when you choose to pay annually rather than sticking with a monthly price.

So the prices are for annual payment to take advantage of savings.

Podia Pricing

POdia’s plans are simple to understand.

They’re divided into two options. The $39 per month mover plan and the $79 per month shaker plan.

Podia isn’t too restrictive as what you may find on another platform. It gives you access to most features without imposing severe limitations on what features you can access.

You can offer online courses, digital downloads, webinars, email marketing, free migration, messaging and more things.

The limitations on the mover plan are that you can’t use memberships, you need a blog, you need embedded checkout affiliate marketing and third party cookies as well.

You can try podia with a 14-day trial. You don’t need a credit card either.

Thinkific Pricing

Thinkific’s pricing is much more complex than what you’d see with Podia.

There are four plans to choose from. Then you can choose additional packages and options and stack those options at the top of each other.

The first option with Thinkific is the free plan. The free plan starts at 0 dollars and with it you get access to several core features for nothing.

There are blinding limits as well. You can accept just 10 students.

Thinkific might be the only platform with a free platform and 0 zero transaction fee and has unlimited number of students.

If you want to get started without paying anything that’s one option to go with.

The free option lets you sport 3 courses. You can host video, audio and pdf content as well and also use quizzes and surveys.

Thinkific’s paid plan costs $39 per month and allows for unlimited number of both courses and students.

You can also design and use coupons, drip-feed content, use a custom domain and use reporting as well.

You can also integrate with email marketing programs like Aweber, convertkit and Mailchimp.

You can also hook up with Zapier to integrate with other tools. On the basic plan you can email students but just one at a time. No option for sending bulk emails.

Thinkific’s $79 per month pro plan gives you everything from the basic plan

You can have 2 site admins, 5 course admins, have private courses while also setting up hidden courses, along with advanced pricing, setting up memberships and more.

The highest plan is at $399 per month. You have more advanced features like adding 5 admin accounts, 15 analysts and up to 50 course authors.

Thinkific also has a thinkific plus option for bigger companies and for high volume customers. You need to contact thinkific directly for a quote to get this ready.

Thinkific’s Growth Package

If you managed to follow all of the plans that I outlined above, it doesn’t end there! Thinkific has an additional Growth Package plan that you may or may not need to add on to one of the plans above.

For the growth package the minimum pricing is $79/month with Thinkific. The package is free for first 100 students. Then you are charged .1 per active student. The max price is capped at $499 per month for thi.s

Thinkific defines an active student as anyone that has access to at least one of your courses.

If you get 1000 active students what you’re going to pay is $90 per month for this add-on. This maxes out at 4100 students at $499 per month. More students? You don’t pay a cent more.

Thinkific’s growth package has plenty of extra features.

You need the growth package to remove the branding and from the site and course player to white label the material.

Thinkific plans let you email students but only individually.

To send bulk emails to more students at once from the dashboard, use the growth plan.

You also need communities around the content.

Integration with apps like infusionsoft and activecampaign and more advanced Zapier features are also locked into this price.

For basic features you need to go behind a paywall.

Transaction Fees

Neither of these platforms in Podia vs Thinkific have any transaction fees on any of their plans. That’s not all.

You pay $50 or more per month on a platform and then 5% transaction fees on some platforms. That’s not the deal here.

Pay for your plan and keep what you get from selling courses.

What to sell on Podia?

Podia lets you sell courses asd well as digital downloads like cheat sheets, checklists, video and audio fiiles, or any other kind of content.

YOu can also offer memberships if you’re going with the Shaker plan. Create unlimited number of membership plans that have their own pricing, content and other benefits.

You can bundle any content on podia to buying memberships or bundle different products into a single bundle at a time.

There’s also the option to offer paid or free webinars. You can schedule them in advance, earn passive income from replays and so on.

Podia doesn’t have a built-in community. Students can comment or engage with content and connect the platform to groups on Slack or on Facebook.

Types of Products That You Can Sell on Thinkific

Thinkific is great for selling courses. On the free plan, at best you can sell 3 courses.

All the paid plans offer support for up to unlimited course and students.

You get ungraded and graded quizzes, surveys, offer assignments and certificates.

You need the $79 per month pro plan to use all these features. You can also add Brillium exams with the growth package.

YOu can limit attempt caps and time limits.

Thinkific also has options to sell memberships as well as bundles on the Pro plan.

You can also include 1 community and unlimited number of communites based on the content of the growth package.

Email Marketing

Podia offers a lot more when it comes to email marketing. Even with the lowest tier plan that has a number of built-in tools with which to build an email list and create relationships with fans. You can use Podia to send newsletters, one-off updates, or send drip email campaigns. You can target a specific segment of your list or send th email to everyone in the list.

YOu can build funnels and offer free downloads to start the email campaign and move users down the funnel to paid products.

POdia also gives you ready access to analytics and tracking to show you how emails perform.

Use the dashboard to view click rates, open rates, number of unsubscribers and more such things.

In comparison, Thinkific’s basic email is limited. You can only email one user at a time.

Bulk emailing is listed but you need to pay more for the growth package. There’s also tracking and analytics amiss.

Ease of Use

Podia seems much easier to use than Thinkific. The user-friendliness is great.

POdia is way easier to use and you can launch courses without taking up too much customization either. Overall, it’s a good option.

Thinkific is much more technical but doesn’t overwhelm you. There’s tutorials for you to walk through the setup.

Thinkific offers a lot more for integrations and considering advanced customization. But you need to put more work in to get all of that running in one place.

Customer Service

Podia is a well known platform with customer service. If you look up reviews that’s easy to see through.

You can use live chat and you get replies in few minutes as well.

During business hours if things are less urgent you can email them for a reply as well.

Thinkific doesn’t offer any live chat. They’re good at getting back to email queries on the same day itself.

The upside? Thinkific offers phone chat support of within the US/ For international users, email is the only way to contact them.

Podia wins in terms of customer service and overall reply and speed at which they get back to you.

Thinkific too offers great customer support but seems average than what you’d get with podia.

Migrating From Other Platforms

If you have courses running on other platforms and want to move them over then you need to consider which makes the transition easier whether it is podia or thinkific.

Podia seems like a winner. Just send them a csv file with the customer list of names and addresses and they move the list for you.

They will help you import products as well. Just send them the content you want to.

Give them access to your account on the platform you’re on and you can get it done.

Compared to Thinkific, you can manually either enroll or export students. If you want ot import students from another platform with a CSV or XLSZ file you need to use the growth plan.

The same is true for bulk enrollment or to remove students from courses or bundles in one action as well.

If you’re coming in from another platform you need to take it to Podia and make it as easy as possible.

It makes some sense to make it easy for customers to switch up platforms.

Payment Processing

Podia offers a 12-second checkout that’s optimized to makes sales quick and super-simple. You can also embed buy buttons to any page of your site. Visitors can make purchase without leaving the page

Podia also offers one-click upsells which Thinkific lacks.

Podia integrates with Stripe and PayPal as payment options using which you can get paid instantly. There’s no additional transaction charges  on the platform either.

Thinkific’s platform features ecommerce payment processing. The simple and secure checkout accepts credit cards and gives ready access to funds.

They also include an SSL certificate to ensure the customer data and payment details are safe and secure.

Thinkific also helps you with third party payment processors and transaction fees apply if you decide to use them.

Third-Party Integration

Podia and Thinkific integrate with a number of different apps. Best case is they can integrate with Zapier. If you can’t integrate with favorite apps connect with Zapier instead.

Both have support for major esps like Mailchimp, Convertkit and others.

They support Facebook pixel ads although with Podia there’s support for Google ads and thinkific doesn’t have that.

Both integrate apps installed via vode snippet like Sumo.

Conclusion

Podia and thinkific are great choiPodia and Thinkific could both be good choices, depending on what you’re looking for in an online course platform.

POdia is much similar to diy course creators and marketers who are on a tighter budge.

Thinkific is better suited for large sellers as well as organizations who are looking for more classroom like exposure.
